Back in the saddle

Published to Blog on 7 Mar 2005

Wow, it has been a while since I’ve sat down in front of this FreeTextBox interface and written anything.  No, Ben Kanpurn, I have not given up on my blog.  I’ll use the same excuse as everyone else who ignores their blog for a short period - I was busy.  Tons of stuff going on this past month, and I now have a growing buffer of things I will write about.

As a reminder to myself, some of the upcoming topics will be my introduction to CodeSmith and how I am now using it in my development process, my introduction to VB Commenter (it is about time someone created this!) and NDoc and how they fit into my development process, and my look into MS MapPoint 2004 and MapInfo’s MapXtreme 2004 to see if they would provide the solution to a project I am getting ready to start.

On a personal note, I was lucky enough to be able to get tickets to Cincinnati Red’s Opening Day.  Opening Day is a big deal around these parts!  This will be the first time I have ever gotten tickets.  I’ve tried the last 3 years now to purchase tickets via their website and haven’t been successful until this year.  Actually I could have gotten 4 sets of 4 tickets, but I only purchased 1 set, something I can kick myself for now because the SRO tickets I could have gotten for $15 a piece are now going for $90 a pair on Ebay.  I won’t make the same mistake next year!

This will be my 12th Reds Opening Day in a row. I have always been lucky enough to get tickets. Let's just hope the starting pitching can hold up (and Junior's health).
