After reading Ken Robertson’s post about adopting Jeff Atwood’s fonts and color settings for Visual Studio 2005 and loving it, I figured I would give it a shot, too. Heck, if it’s good enough for Ken Robertson then it’s good enough for me.

I, too, love the changes. I did make a few modifications, though. The background color was a little too grey for me, I had to give it a bit more white, changing from 248/248/248 to something like 252/252/252. I also made the highlighting for strings and numbers a little brighter, too. They were a bit too muted for me and were driving me crazy. My changes might be caused by my monitors not having as much contrast as Jeff or Ken.

I’d already adopted the Consolas font several months ago and I really like it. These color changes really help, too. All in all - nice changes and highly recommended.
