I've said here before how much I can't stand having fantasy players play on Monday night, right?
Last night: I was down by 10 points, but I had Rex Grossman, the upstart quarterback for the Bears, running the best offense in the league through five weeks for a 5-0 team. Not good enough for you - the Bears were playing the Arizona Cardinals, the 28th ranked pass defense in the league. It was a matchup made in heaven!
Except ... bad news for me... it was on Monday night... so of course nothing would go as it should.
The game started out good - the Cardinals went up by 14 early - it looked like it would be a shootout - good for me. The game ended with the right score: 24-23 - if I hadn't watched the game I would not have believed what really happened.
Somehow the Bears won by scoring 3 defensive touchdowns (2 turnovers returned, 1 punt return) and a field goal. Not one offensive touchdown. Sad thing: I could have started Drew Bledsoe against the Houston Texans. He ended up throwing 2 TDs. But I got greedy.
If faced with the choice again between a player on MNF and a player playing on Sunday, I will take the player on Sunday. Monday Night Football hates me.
