Play Up, Boise State Broncos!

Published to Blog on 1 Jan 2007

Wow! Wow!  What an amazing game the 2007 Tostito’s Fiesta Bowl turned out to be.

It was one of the best, if not the best, college football games that I have ever seen.

How often do you get to see a successful Hook-n-Ladder play and a successful Statue of Liberty play by a team in the same game?!?!?

Plus the tackling was just text book and phenomenal. If you spend too much time watching the NFL like me then you think that a tackle is about dropping a shoulder and hitting a guy. The tackling by Boise State, however, was all about wrapping up and driving through the ball-carrier. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen tackling so good.

I hope that game finds its way into the ESPN Classic vault. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again.
