ScottGu has a new look

Published to Blog on 22 May 2007

Yes, we messed up some things last week with the rollout of the *.asp.net sites. We failed to properly inform all the bloggers of weblogs.asp.net that they were getting an upgrade. The new skins blew up some existing blog sites. We failed to replicate some functionality that already existed on forums.asp.net, which we have diligently been working to correct this week. The list goes on. I won’t get into that right now, but I will address it all in a future post and from what I understand we will publish a lengthy whitepaper to discuss the entire thing in the future. For now I will say that I am sorry to community members who frequent those sites and have been inconvenienced by our missteps.

But there are some good things that have come about from the upgrade of weblogs.asp.net to Community Server 2007 - have you seen Scott Guthrie’s blog!?!?!  I know - I read his posts via RSS, too, but occasionally I do go to his blog to read an exceptionally long one. It is looking better than ever! I don’t know that he’ll win the Community Server Theming Extravaganza with that look, but it is looking good!

Chris, you're correct. But standard theme or not, it sure looks a lot better than the previous theme he was using!

Thanks Tri and Adron. It works fine for me on FF 2.0 on Win XP. It worked fine for me on 1.5, too. Please provide some screenshots if you see something that doesn't look right. Thanks.
