Getting caught up on blog post reading and then ... BLAM!
I'm sitting here doing some multi-tasking this morning, babysitting the running of some build scripts remotely (through VPN and PCAnywhere) on a client's dev server and catching up on my blog reading. Remember that I was offline for about 10 days so there were a bunch piled up. To be fair there were a bunch piled up before I left, but that's insignificant :)
Things were going well on the blog reading front, I was moving along at a good pace and I had everything read except for The Daily Grind, Scott Guthrie, and Jason Haley. I usually try not to read those daily because I know I will want to read their posts in depth and/or follow a bunch of links to read other things. I tend to let those build up over the week and read them all over the weekend. Sometimes I let too much time slip by and they really pile up! Anyway, back to the story. I was knocking them off left and right and I had just finished up about 10 old posts from Scott Hanselman, when all of a sudden...
A whole bunch of "jerks" decided that lunch time was as good as any to take care of posting to their "neglected blogs". Now I have even more folders taunting me with their evil boldness, letting me know that it's nothing but a big neverending un-winnable game.
BTW, the offenders in no significant order describing my current hatred level for their inconsideration to my spring-cleaning activities: Jason Follas talking about adolescent arcade game fantasies, Jim Holmes and some nonsense about food and agile development, James Higgs with two posts - one about Google and one about Amazon, a new CS tip from Jaxon, and some more unintelligible gibberish from Sam Gentile. Thanks gents, I hope your day is going as productively as mine :)
