Register the assembly by pasting the following to the top of the page (after the other register and import statements): <%@ Register TagPrefix...

A little Community Server and Google Maps mashup
A little Community Server and Google Maps mashup
I put together a server control that is a Wrapper for a simple Google Map that will display a Google map along with a marker for one passed in Address/Location. While it can be used practically anywhere I created it for the purpose of using it with Community Server, specifically on the profile page. To see the results click on the link to my name below in the byline. Pretty cool, huh? Binary, source, and instructions coming soon - just need to get some screen shots together and type it up. Can't...
Forecastfox Firefox Extension asking for login?
Forecastfox Firefox Extension asking for login?
My Forecastfox Firefox extension stopped working a couple of minutes ago - it keeps asking me to login. I don't remember having to create an account when I downloaded and installed the extension and I don't see any username/password fields when I open the options for the extension. I'm a bit leery of entering a username/password. Anyone seeing something similar? [Edit] - and then as quickly as it came it was gone - issue went away about 30-45 minutes after it started. Removing duplicate rows from SQL Server table
Removing duplicate rows from SQL Server table
I had a need to remove duplicate rows from a SQL Server table this morning and found this incredibly easy way to do so on the SQL Team site: select distinct * into #holding from dup_authors truncate table dup_authors insert dup_authors select * from #holding drop table #holding SQL Team is a great site for finding solutions for those unusual queries that pop up from time to time. CC.NET & MSBuild error: "sgen.exe" was not found
CC.NET & MSBuild error: "sgen.exe" was not found
I've run into this issue twice now and since I had to look it up again the second time (because I can't remember crap anymore), I thought I would post it here. Task failed because "sgen.exe" was not found, or the .NET Framework SDK v2.0 is not installed. The task is looking for "sgen.exe" in the "bin" subdirectory beneath the location specified in the SDKInstallRootv2.0 value of the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework. You may be able to solve the problem by doing one...
There is something wrong with the girl, Part Deux
There is something wrong with the girl, Part Deux
This evening I heard a story from my son about his sister: Regan had gymnastics practice today. After practice was over she and a couple of the other little girls were standing around a fan talking into it. You know the whole oscillation/reverbration thing is pretty cool (even to this day I can't help myself from doing the same thing from time to time). All the other little girls are saying things into it like "echo" and "hello". My innocent little Regan steps up, Daddy's little girl, and says "I...

And yet another new Tellus site - Archbishop Moeller High School
Moeller High School's new site went live today. Those from the Cincinnati area are already familiar with Moeller, but for everyone else: among the many great alumni are Ken Griffey, Jr. and Barry Larkin - two of Cincinnati's favorite sons. Want some alone time with one of the brightest new technology minds?
No, not me, silly! Seth Godin is offering a conference-call Q&A session on Friday, September 8th that will last "all day" if necessary. Rather than paying a fee to attend, he is asking that you buy 11 copies of his new book, small is the new big , from Barnes and Noble. The first 31 to send him a receipt get a spot. What an interesting idea. And what an interesting opportunity for some "face time" with one of the most aware individuals of the web generation. See Seth's post for details. Technorati...

Ahem. Another new Tellus site - StarFurniture.com
Ryan beat me to the punch , but that won't stop me. StarFurniture.com is the latest Tellus project to go live. I know, I know - two websites in two days! Yes, we do kick ass. However, once again I had little do with the site. I'm wondering if this is some kind of theme - should I be worried ?!?!? No worries - the project I am currently working on is a couple of weeks from completion barring any further functionality being added that might cause the addition of another iteration. Enough about me....

Tellus' newest site - SeaBear.com
Today we took one of our recent projects live, SeaBear.com . This is another in our long line of niche ecommerce sites along with Chef's Catalog and Johnnys Selected Seeds . SeaBear may be our first ASP.NET 2.0 site to go live? Gents, correct me if I am wrong. We will have another site going live in a few days, Star Furniture. Sadly, I had nothing to do with the SeaBear site - well I guess I did setup continuous integration for the project and I provided some "valuable" feedback and troubleshooting...
