Last week I attended a presentation about Web 2.0 that described the recurring concepts behind the buzzword and looked at how (as well as if and when) those can be applied to enterprise systems and organizations. One of the points of the presentation was that platforms are better than applications. Companies building platforms rather than just applications are the darlings of the web world. Keith Elder pointed to a new video series a couple of days ago on Channel9 by Steve Loethen and our own Josh Holmes , Code To Live . I watched the first two episodes and I enjoyed them. The series looks like it will be something a little different and quite fun (and even a little cheesy - in a fun way!). I've subscribed to the feed and I'm really looking forward to the next episode. A few days ago Tucker (who is now 10 months old!) got a new toy, a singing Winnie the Pooh . It is really cute and he seems to like it. Whenever we sing the song he looks around the room for the toy so he is showing some associative recognition, which is very cool. There is a problem, however. I cannot get the song out of my head.
